I am enjoying my Couch to 5K program so much! I'm halfway through and surviving the difficult ramp ups! Even if this week has kicked my butt, I have completed each run without stopping and I haven't missed a run since I started. Each day gets me closer and closer to my goals and I'm covering a longer distance with each run. The key is to just keep going and trust the program! Each run prepares you for the challenges ahead and so far, I haven't been let down!
In fact, I'm feeling so good about things that I went ahead and registered for my first postpartum races!
The Portland Half Marathon has a 5K the week after my Couch to 5K program wraps up. What perfect timing! Since I don't plan to stop there, I went ahead and registered for the 10K run that's part of the Run Like Hell Halloween themed marathon the weekend before my birthday! What a great birthday present to myself! My goal for both races is simply to run the whole thing without stopping. If I keep on pace with the C25K program an the Bridge to 10K program for 5K graduates, I know I can do it!
Also, I just registered for my first half marathon...
GULP!
You CAN do it!!! I have complete faith in you. So glad you are enjoying the program. Be proud of yourself.
