We were lucky to have Grandma Bakke out for a visit to help out with the transition from maternity leave to working at home. She was quite eager to snuggle her grandson again, so she was more than happy to watch little man for me so I could get a hair cut, do a little back to work clothes shopping, and run the dogs to the vet before work started up again. Leaving him for little stretches like that was good training to prepare me for my first day back to the office. The longest I had been apart from Lucas prior to that point was the few hours it took for me to run home, shower and swap out clothes the day before he was discharged from the NICU. I'm thankful that I had my mama here to help ease me into that first little separation and Lucas was happy to bask in the adoration of his grandma!
