After a successful first month on rice cereal, we decided to start introducing some flavor into Lucas' diet. Bananas seemed like a good choice for his first taste of real food. I took a small taste before preparing to feed him and to me, they were mild, a little sweet and yummy.
Lucas was a little surprised at first taste, then reluctantly allowed me to feed them to him. He were pretty tired and by the end of the feeding, he was not too happy about the experience.
I love reviewing the photos to see the wide range of emotions that came with the first tastes of bananas.
And because there is never a shortage of technology in the Nelson household, here is a video comparison.
The first bites:
And the last bites with an overtired boy who didn't want any more bananas shoveled in his mouth!
I'll always love that little shiver at the end!
We stuck with bananas for three days to make sure he didn't have any allergies before moving on to the next food, and with each feeding, Lucas seemed to like them a little bit more.
