Our nephews and niece, along with Grandma and Papa Nelson came to stay for the weekend. It was the first time all three kids had spent the night at our house (the boys visited us in Iowa) and we had a wonderful time! Steve and Gillian might have been soaking up beautiful Hawaii, but we had a great weekend in cold, snowy Washington!
We had a hike through Nisqually planned for Saturday, but the weather didn't cooperate. We opted instead to stay close to home and went for a jaunt on the Chehalis trail. It was chilly, but we enjoyed ourselves and made it home just before the snow started!
Lucas bundled up for our walk
Back at the house, we had dinner, played games, baked cookies, watched football and did some baby oogling. Lucas has the BEST cousins!
Quite the captive audience!
We adore our Nelson kiddos! You could search the ends of the earth and never find such a pack of kind, smart, creative and HILARIOUS children. Seriously. And they love each other a whole lot. These kids will have so many great memories of their childhood together.
On Sunday, I made breakfast before we all went to church. Then, there was second breakfast and playing in the snow!
Lucas had to watch all the fun and shenanigans from the house where it was warm and dry. Don't worry, little buddy, you'll get your day!
The kids with their snowman... just before they murdered him!
After much deliberation, it was decided that each kid would get to decimate a section. Sean punched the head off...
,,,Kyle tackled the midsection...
...Emma knee dropped him...
...And then they got all Office Space on the leftovers.
