Pals

She adores him and follows him everywhere.

He is endlessly amused by her and touches her as gently as his awkward baby hands will allow.

She is his first buddy and will be the first girl to break his heart.

He will be her source of secret snacks and bedtime snuggles.

They will have imagined and real adventures and the dirty feet to prove it.

They are best friends.
